Printing with tannin and color, artist conversation.

  • Washington Printmaker's Gallery 1641 Wisconsin Ave. NW Washington DC 20007 (map)

I will be at the Washington Printmakers Gallery as the gallery sitter and seller this day.

I will bring a variety of my prints, framed and unframed, to use in a talk about using naturally occurring plant tannin, sometimes augmented with color. Most of my work is using various grasses and herbs to create color, pattern, and relief.

The best part about printing with fresh, live plants is that you get an incredible 3-D relief making the prints much more sculptural in nature. It’s also fun to embrace the natural tannin as part of the design.

Please join me throughout the day, or bring a bag lunch and we’ll chat while we eat! You can send me a text 202.907.4474 or just show up.

I look forward to seeing you there!
