Karin and her niece Helene are joining creativity forces for the the 2024 Washington DC Art All Night, A citywide celebration of art and culture, hosted by neighborhood.

Karin will be primarily displaying her abstract paintings on paper and Helene will display some of her whimsical flower-inspired fine art Jewelry.

Friday night, September 27th from 5 to 9pm at Coldwell Banker Realty 350 7th Street SE

More about karin and Helene

Karin Edgett is a visionary artist creating primarily with photography, paint and words. Her art feeds off a need for transformation and expansion and expresses that through abstract and symbolic paintings and multi-media forms of any kind. Her photography explores the super consciousness of flowers most often using a macro lens to peer into their transformational aspects. Her background includes work in graphic communications, product development and cooking. She has recently co-hosted the 1 to 9 Podcast exploring the more subtle or hidden natures beyond or normal observations.  

Helene Edgett is a metals artist. She graduated from Edinboro University in 2024 with a fine arts degree in metal smithing and jewelry making. She is also a painter working in oils, acrylic and watercolor and works with miscellaneous mixed media. She worked with metal sculpture artist Evan Everhart of Erie, PA as a welding assistant. She currently resides in Erie, Pennsylvania where she was born and raised and is the niece of artist Karin Edgett who also graduated with a fine arts degree in 1983.
