Intrinsic Natures of Flower Fairies

It’s early spring here in Washington DC and the flowers are busting out. Soon the famous Japanese cherry blossoms will take over DC with their little pink petals turning the area into a virtual fairyland.

In recent years, flowers have been calling me to explore them within my creative processes. This past year or so, me and my macro lenses have explored their patterns, colors, shapes and light to obtain a glimmer of a deeper understanding of their intrinsic and often magical natures. More recently I am drawn to get familiar with the magical fairies that dwell within them. These fairies, whether you believe in their existence or not, have been recorded and acknowledged and then forgotten throughout different ages. Right now, with our accelerated awareness of the multidimensional aspects of the world and each other, the fairies and flowers are busier and more present than ever. Many can sense them, but some can actually see them at work, which usually looks like play.

The flowers and the fairies together make magic of just about any kind ~ from healing to whole shifts in consciousnesses and every thing in between, whether you notice them or not.

I’ve chosen a collection of photographs that contain fairies and their energies for a new book “Intrinsic Natures of Flower Fairies”.

The book will be for sale at the Capital Art Book Fair along with other books I’ve assembled of art, poetry and flowers. The Art Book Fair will be at Eastern Market North Hall on April 6th and 7th during the day. There will be hundreds of fantastic samples of self-published art books and posters along with some old and rare books.

Hope to see you there!
